Wiz AI-SPM extends support to Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service models

Secure Microsoft Azure AI Services, including Azure OpenAI, with Wiz AI-SPM providing full visibility into AI pipelines and risks on the Wiz Security Graph

At Wiz, we want to help Microsoft Azure customers further accelerate GenAI adoption and empower data scientists to securely bring their AI applications to production faster. That’s why today, we are excited to announce that we will supportWiz AI-SPMfor Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, helping Azure customers to securely build, deploy, and scale AI models. Azure OpenAI Service, part of the Azure AI platform, empowers organizations to build intelligent cutting-edge AI applications through direct access to OpenAI models (e.g.ChatGPT) backed by Azure’s trusted, enterprise-grade capabilities and AI-optimized infrastructure, enterprise-readiness, compliance, data security, and privacy controls, along with many integrations with other Azure services.

With this launch, we are extending our Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities to Azure OpenAI service, offering built-in misconfiguration rules. But we don't stop here, the Wiz Security Graph provides unmatched visibility into every AI resource and technology in your Azure AI Services pipeline, with context around risks that allow to uncover toxic combinations and provide accurate risk prioritization. Furthermore, Wiz’s Attack Path Analysis provides exposure insights of potential lateral movement from the AI services used by your organization to crown jewels in your environment.

    AI-BOM for Azure AI Services

Being aware of all AI services and technologies used by your organization is the first and core step to assure efficient secure use of AI. Gain full visibility into the entire Azure AI inventory in the environment (including Azure OpenAI Service) without any agents, including AI technologies and SDKs. This allows security teams to quickly detect new AI Services developers introduce into the environment and manage the use of new technologies by marking them approved, unwanted, and unreviewed. Wiz also maps every Azure AI service on the Wiz Security Graph, providing clear end-to-end visibility into AI pipelines.

Secure GenAI models built with Azure OpenAI

Generative AI is a powerful tool that empowers organizations to quickly create new types of content such as text, images, videos, and audio by learning from existing data. Since OpenAI’s ChatGPT was introduced in November 2022, its usage has skyrocketed, with adoption across many different use cases and over 180 million users. At Wiz, our goal is to provide coverage for all Azure AI services, and we extended our AI-SPM support for Azure OpenAI Service from day zero.

Azure OpenAI Service enables businesses to quickly develop generative AI experiences with prebuilt models and create cutting-edge and intelligent applications. Wiz AI-SPM for Azure OpenAI empowers mutual customers to securely accelerate OpenAI development to gain greater visibility and greatly reduce risk in their Azure AI Services.

With Wiz’s risk assessment of Azure OpenAI pipelines, customers can identify risks across Azure OpenAI misconfigurations, identities, and network exposures and detect attack paths on the Wiz Security Graph.

Orange builds many Generative AI services using OpenAI. Wiz’s support for Azure OpenAI Service gives us significantly improved visibility into our AI pipelines and allows us to proactively identify and mitigate the risks facing our AI development teams.

To manage risks associated with AI, organizations need a strategic and well-coordinated security approach that extends traditional cybersecurity measures to the unique needs of AI.
