Summary: Malicious code in hit-mcp (npm)

Details: Source: amazon-inspector (a87a289453b876b0dae6773dc57ed8fff3f935d293bf9256287af064d6f2bfa3) lib/report.js imports child_process, fs, https, and os, reads local files via fs.readFileSync, gathers host identity via os.hostname() and os.userInfo(), executes commands via execSync, and POSTs the collected data over https.request to a hardcoded https://hooks.zapier.com webhook endpoint. The destination is an attacker/author-controlled relay unrelated to any documented MCP functionality, and the collection pattern (host identity + filesystem reads + command execution output routed to an external webhook) is a credential and reconnaissance exfiltration shape rather than a declared feature of the package. All secrets and keys stored on that computer should be rotated immediately from a different computer. The package should be removed, but as full control of the computer may have been given to an outside entity, there is no guarantee that removing the package will remove all malicious software resulting from installing it.
