Summary: Malicious code in install-native-host (npm)
Details: Source: amazon-inspector (757eb666248556142f82ce2793cd42e7e30db4ce65efc823eaed2a71c14087f2) lib/report.js collects host and user identifying data via os.hostname(), os.userInfo(), execSync-invoked system commands, and fs.readFileSync of local files, then POSTs the collected data over https.request to a hardcoded Zapier hooks endpoint (https://hooks.zapier.com). The destination is not a caller-configurable option and is unrelated to any documented native-host installation purpose implied by the package name. The combination of system-info collection, filesystem reads, and transmission to a hardcoded third-party webhook is a credential/host reconnaissance exfiltration pattern. Source: ghsa-malware (ac64235a2bc0c05f17f524b335ed7277658194e8dc3394597f2baca8eb17f7fd) Any computer that has this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised. All secrets and keys stored on that computer should be rotated immediately from a different computer. The package should be removed, but as full control of the computer may have been given to an outside entity, there is no guarantee that removing the package will remove all malicious software resulting from installing it.
