Summary: Malicious code in mobicwkgjmx (npm)

Details: Source: amazon-inspector (790620aeb9129471875ad3bbfd9e5c379b4cf2a8a5cbc920148be5d37ca3f9d1) Package [email protected] contains only two scanned files and no static or traced findings indicating credential access, install-time execution of external code, silent-relay, dropper, backdoor, or self-propagation. The random-looking package name is unusual but is not by itself a supply-chain threat, and no code behavior in this version demonstrates harm to an installer. Source: ghsa-malware (68a802febb40fa459d8bc59af7afed267f6c8c4982679f00584e4110af3125ba) Any computer that has this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised. All secrets and keys stored on that computer should be rotated immediately from a different computer. The package should be removed, but as full control of the computer may have been given to an outside entity, there is no guarantee that removing the package will remove all malicious software resulting from installing it.
