There was a device discovery/fabric scan in progress. A module unload was issued which set the UNLOADING flag. As part of the discovery, after receiving an interrupt a work queue was scheduled (which involved a work to be queued). Since the UNLOADING flag is set, the work item was not allocated and the mapped memory had to be freed. The free occurred in interrupt context leading to system crash. Delay the driver unload until the fabric scan is complete to avoid the crash.

    CVE-2025-71230

    Last Modified: 21 Apr 2026

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hfs: ensure sb->s_fs_info is always cleaned up When hfs was converted to the new mount api a bug was introduced by changing the allocation pattern of sb->s_fs_info. If setup_bdev_super() fails after a new superblock has been allocated by sget_fc(), but before hfs_fill_super() takes ownership of the filesystem-specific s_fs_info data it was leaked. Fix this by freeing sb->s_fs_info in hfs_kill_super().

But during unmount we will evict all inodes, which can trigger a new transaction, and triggers warnings on a heavily corrupted fs. [CAUSE] Btrfs allows new transaction even on a read-only fs, this is to allow log replay happen even on read-only mounts, just like what ext4/xfs do. However with rescue mount options, the fs is fully read-only and cannot be remounted read-write, thus in that case we should also reject any new transactions. [FIX] If we find the fs has rescue mount options, we should treat the fs as error, so that no new transaction can be started.

If no empty compression mode can be found, the function would return the out-of-bounds index IAA_COMP_MODES_MAX, which would cause an invalid array access in add_iaa_compression_mode(). Fix both issues by returning either a valid index or -EINVAL.

A flaw was found in the blst cryptographic library. This out-of-bounds stack write vulnerability, specifically in the blst_sha256_bcopy assembly routine, occurs due to a missing zero-length guard. A remote attacker can exploit this by providing a zero-length salt parameter to key generation functions, such as blst_keygen_v5(), if the application exposes this functionality. Successful exploitation leads to memory corruption and immediate process termination, resulting in a denial-of-service (DoS) condition.

ZoneMinder v1.36.34 is vulnerable to Command Injection in web/views/image.php. The application passes unsanitized user input directly to the exec() function. NOTE: this is disputed by the Supplier because there is no unsanitized user input to web/views/image.php.

    CVE-2025-71237

    Last Modified: 20 Apr 2026

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: Fix potential block overflow that cause system hang When a user executes the FITRIM command, an underflow can occur when calculating nblocks if end_block is too small. Since nblocks is of type sector_t, which is u64, a negative nblocks value will become a very large positive integer. This ultimately leads to the block layer function __blkdev_issue_discard() taking an excessively long time to process the bio chain, and the ns_segctor_sem lock remains held for a long period. This prevents other tasks from acquiring the ns_segctor_sem lock, resulting in the hang reported by syzbot in [1]. If the ending block is too small, typically if it is smaller than 4KiB range, depending on the usage of the segment 0, it may be possible to attempt a discard request beyond the device size causing the hang. Exiting successfully and assign the discarded size (0 in this case) to range->len. Although the start and len values in the user input range are too small, a conservative strategy is adopted here to safely ignore them, which is equivalent to a no-op; it will not perform any trimming and will not throw an error. Call Trace: vmmouse_report_events+0x13e/0x1b0 psmouse_handle_byte+0x15/0x60 ps2_interrupt+0x8a/0xd0 ... because the QEMU VMware mouse emulation is buggy, and clears the top 32 bits of %rdi that the kernel kept a pointer in. The QEMU vmmouse driver saves and restores the register state in a "uint32_t data[6];" and as a result restores the state with the high bits all cleared. RDI originally contained the value of a valid kernel stack address (0xff5eeb3240003e54). After the vmware hypercall it now contains 0x40003e54, and we get a page fault as a result when it is dereferenced. The proper fix would be in QEMU, but this works around the issue in the kernel to keep old setups working, when old kernels had not happened to keep any state in %rdi over the hypercall. In theory this same issue exists for all the hypercalls in the vmmouse driver; in practice it has only been seen with vmware_hypercall3() and vmware_hypercall4(). For now, just mark RDI/RSI as clobbered for those two calls. This should have a minimal effect on code generation overall as it should be rare for the compiler to want to make RDI/RSI live across hypercalls.

    CVE-2026-23213

    Last Modified: 17 Apr 2026

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/pm: Disable MMIO access during SMU Mode 1 reset During Mode 1 reset, the ASIC undergoes a reset cycle and becomes temporarily inaccessible via PCIe. Any attempt to access MMIO registers during this window (e.g., from interrupt handlers or other driver threads) can result in uncompleted PCIe transactions, leading to NMI panics or system hangs. To prevent this, set the `no_hw_access` flag to true immediately after triggering the reset. This signals other driver components to skip register accesses while the device is offline. A memory barrier `smp_mb()` is added to ensure the flag update is globally visible to all cores before the driver enters the sleep/wait state. Last Modified: 2 Jun 2026

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix infinite loop caused by next_smb2_rcv_hdr_off reset in error paths The problem occurs when a signed request fails smb2 signature verification check. In __process_request(), if check_sign_req() returns an error, set_smb2_rsp_status(work, STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED) is called. set_smb2_rsp_status() set work->next_smb2_rcv_hdr_off as zero. By resetting next_smb2_rcv_hdr_off to zero, the pointer to the next command in the chain is lost. Consequently, is_chained_smb2_message() continues to point to the same request header instead of advancing. If the header's NextCommand field is non-zero, the function returns true, causing __handle_ksmbd_work() to repeatedly process the same failed request in an infinite loop. This results in the kernel log being flooded with "bad smb2 signature" messages and high CPU usage. This patch fixes the issue by changing the return value from SERVER_HANDLER_CONTINUE to SERVER_HANDLER_ABORT. This ensures that the processing loop terminates immediately rather than attempting to continue from an invalidated offset.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/mmcid: Don't assume CID is CPU owned on mode switch Shinichiro reported a KASAN UAF, which is actually an out of bounds access in the MMCID management code. CPU0 CPU1 T1 runs in userspace T0: fork(T4) -> Switch to per CPU CID mode fixup() set MM_CID_TRANSIT on T1/CPU1 T4 exit() T3 exit() T2 exit() T1 exit() switch to per task mode ---> Out of bounds access. As T1 has not scheduled after T0 set the TRANSIT bit, it exits with the TRANSIT bit set. sched_mm_cid_remove_user() clears the TRANSIT bit in the task and drops the CID, but it does not touch the per CPU storage. That's functionally correct because a CID is only owned by the CPU when the ONCPU bit is set, which is mutually exclusive with the TRANSIT flag. Now sched_mm_cid_exit() assumes that the CID is CPU owned because the prior mode was per CPU. It invokes mm_drop_cid_on_cpu() which clears the not set ONCPU bit and then invokes clear_bit() with an insanely large bit number because TRANSIT is set (bit 29). Prevent that by actually validating that the CID is CPU owned in mm_drop_cid_on_cpu().
