    OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image file format, widely used in the motion picture industry. In versions through 3.2.10, 3.3.0 through 3.3.12, and 3.4.0 through 3.4.13, the OpenEXRUtil library returns an out-of-bounds pointer from the SampleCountChannel::row() API when a deep image has a non-zero dataWindow origin. The row() accessor is documented as 0-based and computes its address from an internal base that is offset for absolute pixel coordinates, so the two coordinate models conflict whenever dataWindow.min is non-zero. For a deep image whose data window has a large negative vertical origin, row(0) points far outside the allocated sample-count buffer. An application that opens an attacker-controlled deep EXR file and accesses sample counts through row() performs an out-of-bounds read, which can crash the process or, under a controlled heap layout, return adjacent heap memory as sample-count values. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.11, 3.3.13, and 3.4.14.

    OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image file format, widely used in the motion picture industry. In versions 3.3.0 through 3.3.12 and 3.4.0 through 3.4.13, the PyOpenEXR Python bindings contain a heap out-of-bounds write triggered when reading a crafted deep scanline EXR file. When a deep file declares a literal channel named left alongside layer-prefixed RGB channels left.R, left.G, and left.B, the wrapper processes the literal left channel first and allocates a scalar deep sample array for it, then reuses that same array as the coalesced destination for the prefixed RGB group. The deep reader registers sample slices with an RGB stride (three lanes) into storage that was allocated with scalar shape, so decoding the deep samples writes past the allocation. Opening such a file through the default public Python API, OpenEXR.File(path), causes a heap buffer overflow during normal deep sample decode, leading to memory corruption and a crash. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.13 and 3.4.14.

In versions before 3.2.11, 3.3.0 through 3.3.12, and 3.4.0 through 3.4.13, exrmultiview can write past a heap allocation when it combines two attacker-supplied, individually valid scanline EXR files whose union dataWindow is not aligned to one view's channel subsampling. The utility allocates sampled channel storage using a truncated union_width / xSampling, then reads the sampled input through a Slice based on the misaligned union window, producing a heap out-of-bounds write. The trigger is normal public-tool processing, such as exrmultiview left A.exr right B.exr out.exr with crafted but valid inputs, so this is not solely an API or caller-precondition issue. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.11, 3.3.13, and 3.4.14.

    icalendar is an RFC 5545 compatible parser and generator of iCalendar files for Python. From 7.1.0 until 7.1.3, the Component equality method in src/icalendar/cal/component.py compares nested subcomponents with two membership loops, and each membership test invokes the same method on child components, causing O(2^n) work relative to nesting depth. Component.from_ical accepts arbitrarily nested BEGIN:VEVENT blocks without a depth limit, so an attacker can submit a sub-kilobyte .ics file containing equal nested subtrees and trigger the cost when an application performs equality, inequality, membership, deduplication, test-assertion, round-trip, or normalization comparisons. Parsing alone does not trigger the issue, and comparisons that differ early short-circuit, but a few hundred bytes can pin a CPU core for minutes or indefinitely, causing denial of service in calendar sync or import endpoints, invite processing, and other comparison paths. This issue is fixed in version 7.1.3.

From 2.4.0rc0 until 2.12.0, Chainlit deployments with features.mcp.enabled set to true in .chainlit/config.toml expose the POST /mcp endpoint without requiring authentication. For sse and streamable-http transports, ConnectSseMCPRequest and ConnectStreamableHttpMCPRequest in backend/chainlit/types.py accept a user-controlled url and optional headers dictionary without scheme validation, private-address filtering, or an allowlist. The connect_mcp handler in backend/chainlit/server.py passes these values to sse_client() or streamablehttp_client(), allowing the Chainlit server to make blind outbound requests to arbitrary internal or external services, including cloud metadata endpoints, with attacker-controlled Authorization and Cookie headers. The SSE URL sink has existed since 2.4.0rc0, while attacker-controlled header forwarding and streamable-http support were added in 2.6.4. The response is consumed internally and not returned, but the attacker can issue state-changing authenticated requests, discover internal services, scan ports, and probe metadata endpoints. This issue is fixed in version 2.12.0.

For stdio transport, the endpoint accepts a user-controlled fullCommand string. The validate_mcp_command() function in backend/chainlit/mcp.py checks only the executable name against config.features.mcp.stdio.allowed_executables and passes unchecked arguments to StdioServerParameters in backend/chainlit/server.py. Because npx supports the -c argument, an attacker can execute arbitrary shell commands with the privileges of the Chainlit process. If allowed_executables is unset, its None default is treated as allowing every executable. This issue is fixed in version 2.12.0.

When separate_channels=false, PyOpenEXR maps each physical channel name through channelNameToRGBA() and coalesces the results into a shared RGB array. A crafted flat scanline EXR that contains both a literal channel such as left and prefixed channels such as left.R, left.G, and left.B causes these names to collide, so the wrapper reuses an undersized two-dimensional NumPy array for the coalesced RGB slices and writes out of bounds when OpenEXR.File(path) decodes the pixels. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.13 and 3.4.14.

From version 3.4.0 through 3.4.12, the HTJ2K decoder parses a header-length field (PLEN) from a chunk's compressed data but never checks that this value fits within the available buffer before using it. When decoding, it advances the codestream pointer by the attacker-supplied header size and passes the resulting offset and remaining length to the OpenJPH memory-input path, so a crafted value pushes the pointer past the end of the buffer and causes an out-of-bounds read. Because this field comes straight from attacker-controlled EXR chunk data, the flaw is reachable during normal decoding of an untrusted file. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.13.

The saveVectorToFile and loadVectorFromFile tools in src/mcp/server.ts contain the same sink class through the file_path parameter. An attacker able to invoke the MCP tools can read, write, or overwrite any file accessible to the server process, causing confidentiality and integrity loss and possible service disruption. This issue is fixed in consciousness-explorer 1.1.2 and sublinear-time-solver 1.6.0.

With the default channel coalescing (separate_channels=False), the wrapper groups channels such as left.R, left.G, and left.B into a single RGB sample array, but the lane-offset calculation in PyPart::setDeepSliceData() only recognizes the exact unprefixed names G, B, and A. As a result, prefixed channels like left.G and left.B are decoded into lane 0 while lanes 1 and 2 are left uninitialized and returned to Python. A Python application that reads untrusted deep EXR files through the default OpenEXR.File API and then logs, serializes, previews, or otherwise processes the resulting NumPy sample arrays may expose uninitialized same-process heap contents, in addition to receiving incorrect green and blue channel data. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.13 and 3.4.14.

Prior to 3.0.2, eml_parser.routing.noparenthesis in eml_parser/routing.py removes parenthesized CFWS comments from Received: headers with a regex-based fix-point loop whose running time is quadratic in the nesting depth. A single Received: header with 5,000 nested parentheses causes approximately 1.3 seconds of CPU saturation per parsed message, and doubling the nesting depth approximately quadruples the running time. An attacker can submit relatively small EML files that consume multiple seconds of processing time, causing worker latency, queue backpressure, and possible service-level outages in synchronous gateways, sandboxes, and real-time triage pipelines. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.2.

Prior to 3.0.2, eml_parser.parser.HeaderParser.header_fetch_parse in eml_parser/parser.py uses email.utils.getaddresses() to parse address-bearing e-mail headers. A deeply nested CFWS comment construct exhausts the standard-library recursive descent parser's call stack and raises RecursionError, which is not caught and therefore aborts parsing of the entire message. An attacker can disrupt SOC pipelines that process untrusted EML files, although callers already need to handle exceptions from malformed or pathological messages. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.2.

    Airbyte Platform resolves the workspace used for its authorization decision from a field the caller supplies. AuthorizationServerHandler copies recognised identifiers out of the raw JSON request body into X-Airbyte-* headers, and AuthenticationHeaderResolver.resolveWorkspace consults X-Airbyte-Workspace-Id ahead of every resource-derived header, including those for connection, source and destination identifiers. Endpoints whose declared request bodies carry only a resource identifier are nonetheless reached with an added workspaceId field, because the extractor reads the body rather than the endpoint's schema, so the permission check is performed against the workspace the caller nominated while the handler acts on the resource identifier the caller supplied. Nothing afterwards compares the resource's owning workspace with the one that was authorized. A member of any workspace can therefore read source and destination configuration, trigger and cancel syncs, and delete connections, sources and destinations that belong to workspaces they have no access to, at whatever privilege level their own workspace membership grants them.

For non-2xx responses, the target's response body is reflected verbatim to the attacker's browser via ActionCable/Turbo Stream error messages, making the SSRF readable.
