For an encrypted agent message on TCP port 1514 that expands to 65,536 bytes, os_zlib_uncompress() writes a terminating null byte beyond the end of the destination buffer. The resulting stack out-of-bounds write in the root-level remoted daemon can crash message processing and disrupt agent communications. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2.

Absolute paths and traversal sequences can therefore target files such as ossec.conf, jwt_secret.json, TLS certificates, and ruleset files that are accessible to the Wazuh manager process. Deletion can disable the manager, invalidate API tokens, or disrupt cluster and API connectivity. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2.

The divided-message path also retains flag_divided fragments under unique counters in div_msg_box without a count, aggregate-size, or expiration limit. Exploitation can disrupt agent connectivity and alert processing across the monitored environment. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.5 and 5.0.0-beta2.

Because the master trusts the worker-supplied authorization context, the attacker can create users, assign administrator roles, access credentials and API tokens, modify configuration, and execute actions across agents. This issue is fixed in version 4.14.5.

The containment check used the resolved path, but intermediate directories were created from the name as given. Only empty directories are created outside the destination. To return to the destination the member's name must contain the destination directory's own final component, so extraction into a secure randomised directory is not affected. This affects POSIX platforms only. On Windows, .. components are collapsed before the path reaches the filesystem, so the directories outside the destination are never created.

The API checks for the presence of the all_projects key rather than its value; a true value enforces the administrator-only policy, but a false value removes the key and skips the branch that normally restricts results to the caller's project. A non-admin user with the reader role can list alarms from all projects, exposing alarm actions containing trust webhook URLs, Heat signal endpoints, project IDs, and user IDs. The parameter can also be combined with a foreign project_id to target a specific project's alarms. A related concern is that OpenStack Watcher does not apply authorization to its webhook trigger endpoint. Any authenticated user who learns an audit's webhook URL, for example from this leaked Aodh alarm metadata, can start an EVENT audit and its associated action plan regardless of their own project or role. The webhook endpoint has lacked policy enforcement since its introduction in the Ussuri release (Watcher 4.0.0).

A tiny bitstream-controlled cropped frame combined with a huge canvas or requested region can also reach the vulnerable composition path in crates/jxl-render/src/blend.rs through ordinary render_frame(). Later mutable subgrid and raw-pointer operations can then perform attacker-controlled out-of-bounds writes, causing memory corruption, denial of service, or arbitrary code execution. This issue is fixed in jxl-grid version 0.6.2.
