    Last Modified: 27 Sept 2026

libfyaml 0.9.6 contains a stack exhaustion vulnerability in fy_atom_iter_format(). When processing a specially crafted YAML document containing a very large literal or folded block scalar, the function repeatedly grows an internal buffer using alloca() inside a loop. The allocated stack memory is not released until the function returns, causing cumulative stack growth that can exceed the process stack limit and result in SIGSEGV and denial of service.

    Last Modified: 27 Sept 2026

MuJS e892c9fdb contains an incorrect numeric conversion vulnerability in jsR_isindex() in jsrun.c. A specially crafted JavaScript input containing an excessively large numeric array index can cause an out-of-range floating-point value to be converted to an integer without proper range validation. This results in undefined behavior and can cause process termination, leading to denial of service.

NanoSVG 239e102ec contains an incorrect numeric conversion vulnerability in nsvg__curveDivs() during SVG stroke rasterization. A specially crafted SVG document containing an extremely large stroke-width can cause floating-point rounding to produce a zero subdivision angle. The subsequent arc division yields infinity, which is converted to int without range validation, resulting in undefined behavior and process termination, leading to denial of service.

    Last Modified: 27 Sept 2026

NanoSVG commit 239e102ec contains an incorrect numeric conversion vulnerability in the rasterizer's nsvg__addActive() function. A specially crafted SVG document containing sufficiently large geometry coordinates can cause fixed-point-scaled edge coordinates to exceed the range representable by int. The rasterizer subsequently converts these values to int without range validation, resulting in undefined behavior and possible process termination, leading to denial of service.

    CVE-2026-88370

    Last Modified: 27 Sept 2026

libconfini 1.16.4 contains a heap out-of-bounds write condition involving the bundled load_ini_buffer.h utility and strip_ini_cache(). The bundled utility allocates exactly ini_length bytes, while strip_ini_cache() unconditionally writes a NUL terminator at ini_source[ini_length], requiring an additional writable byte. Applications using the bundled allocation pattern can trigger deterministic heap memory corruption when processing any non-empty INI input, resulting in denial of service.

simdjson 4.6.1 contains a one-byte out-of-bounds read vulnerability in dom::parser::parse_unpadded(). A specially crafted truncated JSON document whose final structural token closes a nested array or object can cause json_iterator::walk_document() to access buf[len] after the input buffer has been exhausted. Bento4 1.6.0.0 contains an integer underflow vulnerability in the avcC and hvcC configuration atom parsers. A specially crafted MP4 file containing an atom with a declared size smaller than AP4_ATOM_HEADER_SIZE can cause AP4_AvccAtom::Create() or AP4_HvccAtom::Create() to underflow the payload-size calculation. CVE-2026-93268

    Last Modified: 25 Sept 2026

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: skip extra isize expansion during mount to prevent deadlock ext4_try_to_expand_extra_isize() is called from __ext4_mark_inode_dirty() while holding an active jbd2 handle. During mount (!SB_ACTIVE), the expand path may move xattrs to external blocks and release ea_inodes via iput(). When !SB_ACTIVE, iput() calls write_inode_now() which acquires s_writepages_rwsem, creating a circular lock dependency: s_writepages_rwsem --> jbd2_handle --> xattr_sem --> s_writepages_rwsem This can be triggered via: ext4_process_orphan() -> ext4_truncate() -> ext4_mark_inode_dirty() -> ext4_try_to_expand_extra_isize() or: ext4_evict_inode() -> ext4_mark_inode_dirty() -> ext4_try_to_expand_extra_isize() Skip expansion when !SB_ACTIVE. This is a minor loss of functionality (extra isize won't grow for these inodes during mount), which e2fsck can resolve later if needed.

    CVE-2026-93276

    Last Modified: 25 Sept 2026

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phy: renesas: phy-rcar-gen3-usb2: Fix devm action registration for disabled VBUS regulator devm_regulator_get_exclusive() initialises the regulator with enable_count = 1, requiring the consumer to disable it before release. The devm disable action was previously only registered when the caller explicitly requested enable, so when the regulator was left in its initial enabled state without an explicit enable call, the cleanup path skipped decrementing enable_count, triggering a WARN_ON during regulator release on device removal. Fix this by always registering the devm disable action based on the actual enabled state via regulator_is_enabled(), regardless of whether the caller requested an explicit enable. This covers both the explicitly enabled case and the initial state set by devm_regulator_get_exclusive().

There can be a pending tasklet in the queue which might run after the cvm_oct_remove() frees net_device structures, causing a use-after-free in cvm_oct_tx_do_cleanup() as it iterates cvm_oct_device[] which is an array of netdevice pointers. CVE-2026-93280

    Last Modified: 25 Sept 2026

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: greybus: audio: bound the topology section sizes against the fetched size gb_audio_gb_get_topology() fetches a topology blob of a module-supplied size, and gbaudio_tplg_parse_data() then walks it by adding the module-supplied size_dais, size_controls and size_widgets fields to form the control, widget and route section offsets. Those le32 sizes are never checked against the fetched blob, so a module reporting a small topology size but large section sizes makes the offsets point past the allocation, and parsing reads out of bounds. Reject a topology whose section sizes do not fit within the fetched size before it is parsed.

    CVE-2026-97515

    Last Modified: 21 Oct 2026

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i3c: master: svc: Prevent IRQ storm from false SLVSTART on NPCM845 On NPCM845, when a target on the I3C bus gets stuck holding SDA low, the controller reports a false Master Request (MR) in-band interrupt event. The driver handles this by emitting a STOP condition to restore the bus. However, the hardware quirk SVC_I3C_QUIRK_FALSE_SLVSTART indicates that emitting a STOP condition may spuriously set the SLVSTART interrupt status bit. In the Master Request case, this creates a feedback loop: the STOP triggers a new SLVSTART event, the IRQ handler fires again, the controller still reports an MR type, another STOP is emitted, and the cycle repeats indefinitely, resulting in an IRQ storm that can lock up the CPU. Clear the SLVSTART status bit explicitly after emitting the STOP in the Master Request IBI handler when the SVC_I3C_QUIRK_FALSE_SLVSTART quirk is set. This breaks the feedback loop without affecting normal SLVSTART processing, which is already guarded in the top-level IRQ handler by checking that MSTATUS is in SLVREQ state.

Guard the xe_guc_capture_put_matched_nodes() call with IS_ERR_OR_NULL() to prevent a null dereference. CVE-2026-97521

    Last Modified: 1 Oct 2026

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gfs2: fix quota init duplicate scan gfs2_quota_init() checks for duplicate quota_change IDs while holding qd_lock and the quota hash bucket bitlock. That path used gfs2_qd_search_bucket(), which takes a lockref reference via lockref_get_not_dead(). On PREEMPT_RT this may sleep, which is not allowed under the bucket bitlock, triggering "sleeping function called from invalid context". Use a no-ref bucket lookup in this path, then continue duplicate handling without taking a lockref there. Refactor gfs2_qd_search_bucket() to build on top of the no-ref helper so lookup traversal stays in one place. This patch fixes a bug reported by syzbot.

[CAUSE] system.ntfs_attrib updates ATTR_DATA flags via ni_new_attr_flags() and switches i_mapping->a_ops to ntfs_aops_cmpr when FILE_ATTRIBUTE_COMPRESSED is set. system.dos_attrib then overwrites ni->std_fa from a one-byte DOS attribute value, clearing the compression bit without updating ATTR_DATA or the mapping operations. Old buffered writes use is_compressed(ni) to choose __generic_file_write_iter(). That leaves generic_perform_write() calling a NULL write_begin callback from ntfs_aops_cmpr. [FIX] Treat system.dos_attrib as a low-byte DOS attribute update and preserve the existing non-DOS attribute bits in ni->std_fa. This keeps compressed and sparse state consistent with ATTR_DATA and the mapping operations while keeping the existing DOS attribute semantics intact.

    CVE-2026-97480

    Last Modified: 30 Oct 2026

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: serial: 8250: protect against NULL uart->port.dev in register serial8250_register_8250_port() conditionally copies uart->port.dev from up->port.dev only when up->port.dev is non-NULL: if (up->port.dev) { uart->port.dev = up->port.dev; ... } So if both the existing uart slot and up have a NULL ->dev, uart->port.dev remains NULL. The very next ACPI companion check then dereferences it unconditionally: if (!has_acpi_companion(uart->port.dev)) { has_acpi_companion() reads dev->fwnode without a NULL guard (include/linux/acpi.h), so this NULL-derefs the kernel for the remaining no-dev case rather than just skipping the mctrl_gpio_init() initialisation as intended. smatch flags the inconsistency: drivers/tty/serial/8250/8250_core.c:767 serial8250_register_8250_port() error: 'uart->port.dev' could be null (see line 719) Guard the call with a NULL check so register continues to work for callers that legitimately have no parent device (legacy non-OF/non-ACPI registrations). It already guards the gadget driver suspend/resume callbacks against a NULL ->driver: if (dev->gadget.speed != USB_SPEED_UNKNOWN && dev->driver && dev->driver->resume) { spin_unlock(&dev->lock); dev->driver->resume(&dev->gadget); ... } but the very next branch unconditionally dereferences dev->driver when an INT_USBRESET arrives: if (stat & INT_USBRESET) { ACK(INT_USBRESET); INFO(dev, "USB reset done, gadget %s\n", dev->driver->driver.name); } If the controller raises INT_USBRESET before any gadget driver has been bound (or after one has been unbound), dev->driver is NULL and the printk dereferences NULL. smatch flags the inconsistency: drivers/usb/gadget/udc/goku_udc.c:1618 goku_irq() error: we previously assumed 'dev->driver' could be null (see line 1607) Fall back to a placeholder when the gadget driver is not bound. However, when the underlying interface has been unregistered, netconsole_netdev_event() moves the target from target_list to target_cleanup_list, and netconsole_process_cleanups_core() walks that list under target_cleanup_list_lock only. If a user removes the configfs target at the same time the cleanup worker is iterating target_cleanup_list, list_del() can corrupt the list because the two paths take disjoint locks while operating on the same list node. Acquire target_cleanup_list_lock around the list_del() so the unlink is serialised against netconsole_process_cleanups_core() regardless of which list the target currently belongs to. The state transition that downgrades STATE_DEACTIVATED to STATE_DISABLED is left intact and is performed under the same combined locking, preserving the existing ordering with resume_target().
