    Last Modified: 28 Apr 2026

Improper Input Validation, Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ, Apache ActiveMQ Broker, Apache ActiveMQ All. An authenticated attacker can use the admin web console page to construct a malicious broker name that bypasses name validation to include an xbean binding that can be later used by a VM transport to load a remote Spring XML application. The attacker can then use the DestinationView mbean to send a message to trigger a VM transport creation that will reference this malicious broker name which can lead to loading the malicious Spring XML context file. Because Spring's ResourceXmlApplicationContext instantiates all singleton beans before the BrokerService validates the configuration, arbitrary code execution occurs on the broker's JVM through bean factory methods such as Runtime.exec(). This issue affects Apache ActiveMQ: before 5.19.6, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.5; Apache ActiveMQ Broker: before 5.19.6, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.5; Apache ActiveMQ All: before 5.19.6, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.5. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.2.5 or 5.19.6, which fixes the issue.

DataEase is an open-source data visualization and analytics platform. Versions 2.10.20 and below ship the legacy velocity-1.7.jar, which pulls in commons-collections-3.2.1.jar containing the InvokerTransformer deserialization gadget chain. Quartz 2.3.2, also bundled in the application, deserializes job data BLOBs from the qrtz_job_details table using ObjectInputStream with no deserialization filter or class allowlist. An authenticated attacker who can write to the Quartz job table, such as through the previously described SQL injection in previewSql, can replace a scheduled job's JOB_DATA with a malicious CommonsCollections6 gadget chain payload. When the Quartz cron trigger fires, the payload is deserialized and executes arbitrary commands as root inside the container, achieving full remote code execution. This issue has been fixed in version 2.10.21.

JupyterHub is software that allows users to create a multi-user server for Jupyter notebooks. In versions 4.1.0 through 5.4.4, XSRF protection (updated in 4.1.0) inappropriately treated requests with Sec-Fetch-Mode: no-cors as same-origin requests, bypassing XSRF checks. The JSON API is not affected, only HTTP form endpoints, such as /hub/spawn and /hub/accept-share, meaning attackers could trigger server spawn (but not access the server) and if the attacker is a JupyterHub user permitted to share access to their server, cause a user to accept a share and have access to the attacker's server. This issue has been fixed in version 5.4.5. If developers are unable to immediately upgrade, they can temporarily mitigate this issue by dropping requests to JupyterHub with Sec-Fetch-Mode: no-cors if they are using a reverse proxy.

    Last Modified: 28 Apr 2026

JmsBinding.extractBodyFromJms() in camel-jms, and the equivalent JmsBinding class in camel-sjms, deserialized the payload of incoming JMS ObjectMessage values via javax.jms.ObjectMessage.getObject() without applying any ObjectInputFilter, class allowlist or class denylist. Because this code path is reached whenever the mapJmsMessage option is enabled (the default) and Camel acts as a JMS consumer, an attacker able to publish a crafted ObjectMessage to a queue or topic consumed by a Camel application could achieve remote code execution when a deserialization gadget chain was present on the classpath. The same handling was reached transitively through camel-sjms2 (whose Sjms2Endpoint extends SjmsEndpoint) and through camel-amqp (whose AMQPJmsBinding extends JmsBinding), and by other JMS-family components built on JmsComponent such as camel-activemq and camel-activemq6. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 3.0.0 before 4.14.7, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.2, from 4.19.0 before 4.20.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.20.0, which fixes the issue. CVE-2026-40859

    Last Modified: 7 Jul 2026

Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Apache Camel. The camel-vertx-http component deserializes HTTP response bodies carrying the Content-Type application/x-java-serialized-object using a raw java.io.ObjectInputStream, without applying any ObjectInputFilter (VertxHttpHelper.deserializeJavaObjectFromStream) This deserialization path is reached only when the producer endpoint is configured with transferException=true (or the component-level allowJavaSerializedObject=true) and throwExceptionOnFailure is left at its default value of true; in that case a backend HTTP response with a 5xx status and the application/x-java-serialized-object content type has its body deserialized with no class restrictions. An attacker who controls the backend the Camel producer talks to - through a man-in-the-middle position on an unencrypted (plain HTTP) connection, or by compromising the backend service - can return a crafted serialized Java object and, if a suitable gadget chain is present on the classpath, achieve remote code execution on the Camel application host. The path is not reachable in the default configuration, where transferException is false. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.14.8, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.3, from 4.19.0 before 4.20.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.20.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.14.x LTS releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.14.8. If users are on the 4.18.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.3. After upgrading, the deserialization performed by both helper utilities is constrained by a default ObjectInputFilter (allow-list java.**;javax.**;org.apache.camel.**;!*), which can be customised through the new deserializationFilter endpoint option or the JVM-wide -Djdk.serialFilter system property. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately: do not enable transferException=true (or allowJavaSerializedObject=true) on producers that talk to untrusted or network-reachable backends; ensure producer connections use TLS (https) so that a response cannot be substituted by a man-in-the-middle; and, where the option is required, set an explicit -Djdk.serialFilter allow-list (for example java.**;org.apache.camel.**;!*) to constrain deserialization.

The camel-infinispan component's ProtoStream-based remote aggregation repository deserializes data read from a remote Infinispan cache using java.io.ObjectInputStream without applying any ObjectInputFilter. An attacker who can write to the Infinispan cache used by a Camel application can inject a crafted serialized Java object that, when read during normal aggregation repository operations such as get or recover, results in arbitrary code execution in the context of the application. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.14.7, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.2, from 4.19.0 before 4.20.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.20.0, which fixes the issue. Versions 3.1.3.RELEASE and prior contain a security bypass vulnerability in the expression execution mechanisms. Although the library provides mechanisms to prevent expression injection, it fails to properly restrict the scope of accessible objects, allowing specific potentially sensitive objects to be reached from within a template. The camel-mina component's MinaConverter.toObjectInput(IoBuffer) type converter wraps an IoBuffer in a java.io.ObjectInputStream without applying any ObjectInputFilter or class-loading restrictions. When a Camel route uses camel-mina as a TCP or UDP consumer and requests conversion to ObjectInput (for example via getBody(ObjectInput.class) or @Body ObjectInput), an attacker sending a crafted serialized Java object over the network to the MINA consumer port can trigger arbitrary code execution in the context of the application during readObject(). CVE-2026-40453

    Last Modified: 28 Apr 2026

The fix for CVE-2025-27636 added setLowerCase(true) to HttpHeaderFilterStrategy so that case-variant header names such as 'CAmelExecCommandExecutable' are filtered out alongside 'CamelExecCommandExecutable'. The same setLowerCase(true) call was not applied to five non-HTTP HeaderFilterStrategy implementations: JmsHeaderFilterStrategy and ClassicJmsHeaderFilterStrategy in camel-jms, SjmsHeaderFilterStrategy in camel-sjms, CoAPHeaderFilterStrategy in camel-coap, and GooglePubsubHeaderFilterStrategy in camel-google-pubsub. Because those strategies use case-sensitive String.startsWith('Camel'/'camel') filtering while the Camel Exchange stores headers in a case-insensitive map, an attacker with JMS (or equivalent) producer access to the broker consumed by a Camel route can inject case-variant Camel internal headers, which are then resolved by downstream components such as camel-exec and camel-file using their canonical casing. This enables remote code execution and arbitrary file write on routes that forward JMS messages to header-driven components. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 3.0.0 before 4.14.6, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.2, from 4.19.0 before 4.20.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.20.0, which fixes the issue. CVE-2026-40261

    Last Modified: 25 Apr 2026

Composer is a dependency manager for PHP. Versions 1.0 through 2.2.26 and 2.3 through 2.9.5 contain a command injection vulnerability in the Perforce::syncCodeBase() method, which appends the $sourceReference parameter to a shell command without proper escaping, and additionally in the Perforce::generateP4Command() method as in GHSA-wg36-wvj6-r67p / CVE-2026-40176, which interpolates user-supplied Perforce connection parameters (port, user, client) from the source url field without proper escaping. An attacker can inject arbitrary commands through crafted source reference or source url values containing shell metacharacters, even if Perforce is not installed. Unlike CVE-2026-40176, the source reference and url are provided as part of package metadata, meaning any compromised or malicious Composer repository can serve package metadata declaring perforce as a source type with malicious values. This vulnerability is exploitable when installing or updating dependencies from source, including the default behavior when installing dev-prefixed versions. This issue has been fixed in Composer 2.2.27 (2.2 LTS) and 2.9.6 (mainline). If developers are unable to immediately update, they can avoid installing dependencies from source by using --prefer-dist or the preferred-install: dist config setting, and only use trusted Composer repositories as a workaround.

    CVE-2026-40179

    Last Modified: 22 Apr 2026

Prometheus is an open-source monitoring system and time series database. Versions 3.0 through 3.5.1 and 3.6.0 through 3.11.1 have stored cross-site scripting vulnerabilities in multiple components of the Prometheus web UI where metric names and label values are injected into innerHTML without escaping. In both the Mantine UI and old React UI, chart tooltips on the Graph page render metric names containing HTML/JavaScript without sanitization. In the old React UI, the Metric Explorer fuzzy search results use dangerouslySetInnerHTML without escaping, and heatmap cell tooltips interpolate le label values without sanitization. With Prometheus v3.x defaulting to UTF-8 metric and label name validation, characters like <, >, and " are now valid in metric names and labels. An attacker who can inject metrics via a compromised scrape target, remote write, or OTLP receiver endpoint can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browser of any Prometheus user who views the metric in the Graph UI, potentially enabling configuration exfiltration, data deletion, or Prometheus shutdown depending on enabled flags. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.5.2 and 3.11.2. If developers are unable to immediately update, the following workarounds are recommended: ensure that the remote write receiver (--web.enable-remote-write-receiver) and the OTLP receiver (--web.enable-otlp-receiver) are not exposed to untrusted sources; verify that all scrape targets are trusted and not under attacker control; avoid enabling admin or mutating API endpoints (e.g., --web.enable-admin-api or --web.enable-lifecycle) in environments where untrusted data may be ingested; and refrain from clicking untrusted links, particularly those containing functions such as label_replace, as they may generate poisoned label names and values.

An attacker can inject arbitrary commands through these values in a malicious composer.json declaring a Perforce VCS repository, leading to command execution in the context of the user running Composer, even if Perforce is not installed. VCS repositories are only loaded from the root composer.json or the composer config directory, so this cannot be exploited through composer.json files of packages installed as dependencies. The cacti_unserialize() function calls unserialize() with allowed_classes set to false, which prevents object injection but still allows arbitrary string arrays to be deserialized. Then, at lines 760 to 766, the deserialized array values are passed directly into db_execute('DELETE FROM snmpagent_managers WHERE id IN (' . implode(',', $selected_items) . web3.py allows you to interact with the Ethereum blockchain using Python. From 6.0.0b3 to before 7.15.0 and 8.0.0b2, web3.py implements CCIP Read / OffchainLookup (EIP-3668) by performing HTTP requests to URLs supplied by smart contracts in offchain_lookup_payload["urls"]. The implementation uses these contract-supplied URLs directly (after {sender} / {data} template substitution) without any destination validation. CCIP Read is enabled by default (global_ccip_read_enabled = True on all providers), meaning any application using web3.py's .call() method is exposed without explicit opt-in. This results in Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) when web3.py is used in backend services, indexers, APIs, or any environment that performs eth_call / .call() against untrusted or user-supplied contract addresses. A malicious contract can force the web3.py process to issue HTTP requests to arbitrary destinations, including internal network services and cloud metadata endpoints. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.15.0 and 8.0.0b2.

The Camel-PQC FileBasedKeyLifecycleManager class deserializes the contents of `<keyId>.key` files in the configured key directory using java.io.ObjectInputStream without applying any ObjectInputFilter or class-loading restrictions. The cast to `java.security.KeyPair` is evaluated only after `readObject()` has already returned, so any `readObject()` side effects in the deserialized object run before the type check. An attacker who can write to the key directory used by a Camel application — for example through a path traversal into the directory, misconfigured filesystem permissions on the volume where keys are stored, a compromised key provisioning pipeline, or a symlink attack — can place a crafted serialized Java object that, when deserialized during normal key lifecycle operations, results in arbitrary code execution in the context of the application. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.19.0 before 4.20.0, from 4.18.0 before 4.18.2. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.20.0, which fixes the issue by replacing java.io.ObjectInputStream-based key and metadata storage with standard PKCS#8 (private key) / X.509 SubjectPublicKeyInfo (public key) Base64 JSON encoding. Custom CLI arguments supplied through the `CamelDoclingCustomArguments` exchange header (a List<String>) were appended to that argument list with insufficient validation: the original implementation relied on a denylist of disallowed flags and only rejected path values that contained a literal `../` sequence. As a result, a Camel route that forwards externally-influenced data into the `CamelDoclingCustomArguments` header (or into the path-bearing headers used to build the invocation) could cause the producer to pass unrecognized or unintended `docling` CLI flags to the subprocess, and could supply path-like argument values that resolved outside the intended directory through traversal sequences not caught by the literal `../` check. Because Camel itself builds the `docling` invocation from these values, the component is responsible for constraining them, and the weak validation allowed CLI-argument injection and directory traversal in the arguments passed to the external tool. The invocation uses the list-based form of ProcessBuilder, so a shell does not interpret the argument values; OS command injection through shell metacharacters was not possible, and the metacharacter rejection added by the fix is defense-in-depth. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.15.0 before 4.18.3. Users are recommended to upgrade to a release that contains the CAMEL-23212 fix. On the mainline the fix is included from Apache Camel 4.19.0 (and later releases such as 4.20.0). For users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream, upgrade to 4.18.3. The fix replaces the denylist with a strict allowlist of recognized `docling` CLI flags (rejecting any unrecognized flag, and rejecting producer-managed flags such as the output-directory flags), defensively rejects shell metacharacters in argument values, and normalizes path-like values with Path.normalize() before validating them so that traversal sequences which bypass a literal `../` check are detected. As defence in depth, route authors should avoid mapping untrusted message content into the `CamelDoclingCustomArguments` header and the path-bearing headers, and should strip Camel-internal headers from messages that arrive from untrusted producers.

    CVE-2026-40022

    Last Modified: 28 Apr 2026

When authentication is enabled on the Apache Camel embedded HTTP server or embedded management server (camel-platform-http-main) and a non-root context path such as /api or /admin is configured via camel.server.path or camel.management.path, the BasicAuthenticationConfigurer and JWTAuthenticationConfigurer classes derive the authentication path from properties.getPath() when camel.server.authenticationPath / camel.management.authenticationPath is not explicitly set. Combined with the Vert.x sub-router mounting model - the sub-router is mounted at _path_* and the authentication handler is registered inside the sub-router at the resolved path - this causes the authentication handler to match only the exact configured context path, not its subpaths. Unauthenticated requests to subpaths such as /api/_route_ or /admin/observe/info therefore reach protected business routes and management endpoints without being challenged for credentials. The /observe/info endpoint can disclose runtime metadata such as the user, working directory, home directory, process ID, JVM and operating system information. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.14.1 before 4.14.6, from 4.18.0 before 4.18.2. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.20.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.14.x LTS releases stream, they are suggested to upgrade to 4.14.6. If users are on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream, they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.2.

ZTE ZX297520V3 BootROM contains a vulnerability that allows arbitrary memory writes via USB. Attackers can exploit the lack of target address validation in the USB download mode to write data to any location in BootROM runtime memory, thereby overwriting the stack, hijacking the execution flow, bypassing the Secure Boot signature verification mechanism, and achieving unauthorized code execution.

    Last Modified: 28 Jul 2026

The Activity zte.com.cn.filer/zte.com.cn.filer.FilePreViewActivity within ZTE File Manager is designed to preview compressed files. Third-party applications can launch this Activity and supply arbitrary file paths (e.g., content://zte.com.cn.filer.fileprovider/root_path), enabling file access with the privilege level of ZTE File Manager. This allows unrooted devices to read files under certain system directories such as /data/data and /data/local/tmp. If access restrictions do not block untrusted applications, additional directories may also be accessible.

marimo is a reactive Python notebook. Prior to 0.23.0, Marimo has a Pre-Auth RCE vulnerability. The terminal WebSocket endpoint /terminal/ws lacks authentication validation, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to obtain a full PTY shell and execute arbitrary system commands. Unlike other WebSocket endpoints (e.g., /ws) that correctly call validate_auth() for authentication, the /terminal/ws endpoint only checks the running mode and platform support before accepting connections, completely skipping authentication verification. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.23.0.

    CVE-2026-39983

    Last Modified: 21 Apr 2026

basic-ftp is an FTP client for Node.js. Prior to 5.2.1, basic-ftp allows FTP command injection via CRLF sequences (\r\n) in file path parameters passed to high-level path APIs such as cd(), remove(), rename(), uploadFrom(), downloadTo(), list(), and removeDir(). The library's protectWhitespace() helper only handles leading spaces and returns other paths unchanged, while FtpContext.send() writes the resulting command string directly to the control socket with \r\n appended. This lets attacker-controlled path strings split one intended FTP command into multiple commands. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.2.1.

    CVE-2026-39973

    Last Modified: 23 Apr 2026

Apktool is a tool for reverse engineering Android APK files. In versions 3.0.0 and 3.0.1, a path traversal vulnerability in `brut/androlib/res/decoder/ResFileDecoder.java` allows a maliciously crafted APK to write arbitrary files to the filesystem during standard decoding (`apktool d`). This is a security regression introduced in commit e10a045 (PR #4041, December 12, 2025), which removed the `BrutIO.sanitizePath()` call that previously prevented path traversal in resource file output paths. An attacker can embed `../` sequences in the `resources.arsc` Type String Pool to escape the output directory and write files to arbitrary locations, including `~/.ssh/config`, `~/.bashrc`, or Windows Startup folders, escalating to RCE. The fix in version 3.0.2 re-introduces `BrutIO.sanitizePath()` in `ResFileDecoder.java` before file write operations.

    CVE-2026-39842

    Last Modified: 23 Apr 2026

OpenRemote is an open-source IoT platform. Versions 1.21.0 and below contain two interrelated expression injection vulnerabilities in the rules engine that allow arbitrary code execution on the server. The JavaScript rules engine executes user-supplied scripts via Nashorn's ScriptEngine.eval() without sandboxing, class filtering, or access restrictions, and the authorization check in RulesResourceImpl only restricts Groovy rules to superusers while leaving JavaScript rules unrestricted for any user with the write:rules role. Additionally, the Groovy rules engine has a GroovyDenyAllFilter security filter that is defined but never registered, as the registration code is commented out, rendering the SandboxTransformer ineffective for superuser-created Groovy rules. A non-superuser attacker with the write:rules role can create JavaScript rulesets that execute with full JVM access, enabling remote code execution as root, arbitrary file read, environment variable theft including database credentials, and complete multi-tenant isolation bypass to access data across all realms. This issue has been fixed in version 1.22.0.

    Last Modified: 9 May 2026

The optional extension component TinkerpopClientService is missing the Restricted annotation with the Execute Code Required Permission in Apache NiFi 2.0.0-M1 through 2.8.0. The TinkerpopClientService supports configuration of ByteCode Submission for the Script Submission Type, enabling Groovy Script execution in the service prior to submitting the query. The missing Restricted annotation allows users without the Execute Code Permission to configure the Service in installations that use fine-grained authorization and have the optional TinkerpopClientService installed. Apache NiFi installations that do not have the nifi-other-graph-services-nar installed are not subject to this vulnerability. Upgrading to Apache NiFi 2.9.0 is the recommended mitigation.
